Frequently asked questions

This work tends to resonate with people who live full, demanding lives and are beginning to feel the cumulative effects in their bodies. Many clients are thoughtful, capable individuals who have already tried other approaches and are looking for something more integrated and personal.

If you value privacy, depth, and are curious about how movement, attention, and the nervous system shape your experience, this work is likely a good fit.

This work may not be the right fit if:

  • You’re looking for high-intensity workouts or calorie-burning classes.

  • You prefer fast-paced, choreography-driven yoga.

  • You want a purely spiritual or purely fitness-based experience.

  • You want a quick fix or one-off session rather than engagement in an ongoing, integrative process.

Frequency varies. I recommend that most students work weekly or bi-weekly for an initial focused and to begin to see results. Established students sometimes transition to lower frequency and incororate virtual sessions with time. I prefer not to prescribe a rigid schedule, rather that we collaborate to find a rhythm that supports each student's life and goals.
Yes. My approach is informed by contemporary research in nervous system regulation, pain science, psychology, and behavior change, alongside decades of embodied practice in yoga and hands-on modalities. I hold a graduate degree in Psychology and have worked for many years in healthcare tech, at the intersection of wellbeing experience and current research science.

While sessions are experiential rather than academic, the work is grounded in an understanding of how predictability, safety, and support influence perception, stress responses, and capacity.

Yes. Many clients seek this work for ongoing pain, tension, IBS/IBD, sleep issues, or stress that shows up physically.

However, this work is neither medical treatment nor psychotherapy. It is a supportive, educational, and movement-based practice that often complements other forms of care.

No. Flexibility and prior yoga experience are not prerequisites. I have experince working with all genders, ages, and body types. Beginners are welcome and we can work together on a plan that is best suited to you.

Sessions are adapted to your body, history, and current capacity. The focus is not on achieving shapes, but on using structure and support to reduce unnecessary effort and allow new possibilities to emerge.

I mostly work in LA's East and North East side, areas like Silverlake, Echo Park, Pasadena, DTLA, Highland Park and San Marino. If you're not sure you are in my area, just ask!
